About transformation in general
1. Why is conversion technology good?
-
A common problem with expired warranty and older diesel vehicles is the failure of the diesel atomizer tip and injector, the high-pressure fuel injection pump, the turbocharger, the EGR valve, and the exhaust gas treatment system.
-
In many cases, the repair of faulty diesel parts requires a special service, it is quite expensive, and during the waiting and repair time, which often lasts several days, the vehicle stops, i.e. does not produce.
-
In the long term, aging diesel parts pose a significant operational safety risk. Because of these, the use of the entire vehicle often becomes uneconomical, even though it could be used for many years to come except for the engine problems.
-
With our technology, diesel engines can be converted into a purely gas-powered engine, which does not have a special injector, high-pressure fuel dosing pump, turbocharger, EGR valve, and the exhaust gas treatment system does not have a particle filter, so they cannot fail.
-
After the transformation, the structure and operation of the engine becomes much simpler, more reliable, and easier and cheaper to repair.
-
What's more, in addition to all this, the built-in remote sensing system greatly increases the engine's operational safety, it can be used to filter out minor faults that are already occurring, thus preventing the occurrence of major faults.
2. Is the conversion economical?
Economy can basically be divided into two parts:
-
Fuel cost savings
-
In terms of energy prices, the prices of different fuels vary. The relationship between diesel and LPG energy prices is decisive here. With our conversion, the truck that originally consumed 34 liters/100km of diesel will consume 50 liters/100km of LPG. Therefore, if we compare the prices at fuel wells and find that the price of LPG is 34/50 = 69% of the price of diesel, then there is no saving at all. If, on the other hand, the price of LPG is much less than the 69% of diesel, it already results in significant cost savings. The trend shows an increasing difference:
-
-
-
Saving engine operating costs consists of several components. Some of them are highlighted:
-
High pressure pump:
-
In the case of a diesel, this is an expensive part
-
There is no pump for LPG
-
-
Injectors:
-
The price of a diesel injector is approx. HUF 80, replacement in a specialist workshop with computer control
-
The price of one LPG injector is approx. HUF 10, replaced by 2 clamps and 2 M6 screws
-
-
Flue gas treatment:
-
Diesel: EGR valve, EGR cooler, AdBlue system, particle filter = the most expensive and complicated parts. Exchange them in a specialist workshop.
-
LPG: there is none in the modified vehicle, yet it has a higher environmental protection category than even the best diesel.
